This could possibly be the best idea for educational blogging, but could also be the most difficult for the teacher to set up. Having a pen-pal from thousands of miles away or across the hallway could be very motivational for kids. Have each child in your class pair up with another student in another classroom to write to. The teachers could act as the facilitators of the Blog, with students responding to the posts. Students could read all Blog postings or could just read and respond to those from their pen-pal.
The ideas for this type of Blog are endless. Having a reading buddy across the country could be the main focus or maybe just a place to share the students' lifestyle/culture.
