Post the link to an online article you would like the entire class to read. After doing this, have students read this and have them post a reflection on the classroom Blog.
Potential problem for this activity: If your classroom is like mine, then all students do not read at the same level. The reading passage you find should be: 1)Low enough for all students to read. 2)A passage that at least half of your class can read, so you can partner your students up with a reading buddy.
Example:
Read the article "Check Your Eggs," then come back here and answer the following questions.
1. Why are eggs being recalled?
2. What should you do if your have tainted eggs?
3. How do you think this problem can be solved in the future?
